Drawing inspiration from the ever-evolving sound of contemporary OPM, the musical weaves together pop, hip-hop, ballad and musical theater into a richly emotional score. The result is a sound that feels distinctly Filipino, modern, and deeply resonant with today’s generation.
The music is powered by the award-winning team of FLIPMUSIC, one of the leading hitmaking and music production companies behind the modern wave of OPM and P-pop. The company helped shape today’s Filipino pop sound through chart-defining hits such as BINI’s “Pantropiko,” “Salamin, Salamin,” and “Karera,” alongside iconic records like Sarah Geronimo’s “Tala” and many of the country’s biggest music moments over the last 15 years.
Anita has spent the last two decades building her life around her family. With her daughter now fully grown and most of her youth behind her, Anita seizes the chance to move through the lives she might have lived — experiencing the success, love, and happiness she once imagined for herself. As the boundaries between these alternate lives and her own begin to blur, Anita must reckon with the choices that shaped her, the dreams she left behind and the person she must become.
Set against the nostalgia of 90s high school and the alternate realities of the present, MULI is a story about the roads not taken, the choices we've made, the quiet longing for the life that might have been — and the courage to start over again.
It explores the universal ache of "what if" while learning to love the life that is ours, even with all the challenges and uncertainties that inevitably come with the moments that make it beautiful.
Muli will run for three consecutive weeks from September 11-September 27, 2026 at the Globe Auditorium in BGC Arts Center.
